Cornwall:

The experience starts at Albert Pier, Penzance where passengers are welcomed by our experienced skipper and wildlife guide. Depending upon the time of year species sighted can include; basking sharks, bottlenose, striped, common and risso’s dolphins, along with harbour porpoises and minke whales. Penzance is such a beautiful part of Cornwall , there is a fantastic, unique open-air theatre dramatically situated on the cliffs at Porthcumo, the sea caves of Nanjizel, the legendary Land’s End and an inspiring array of smugglers coves.

Wales:

Dolphin watching boat trips from New Quay collaborate with the Cardigan Bay Marine Wildlife Centre (CBMWC), a non-profit making, public information, education and research organisation which helps to raise awareness of local marine wildlife and the threats they face.

What Happens on the Day:

  • The area where the boat operates is within a designated Special Area of Conservation, recognised for its important and diverse range of habitats and wildlife.
  • Cardigan Bay is one of only two areas in the UK hosting a semi-resident population of bottlenose dolphins.
  • As well as dolphins you may also see harbour porpoise, Atlantic grey seals, sunfish and a variety of seabirds including razorbills, guillemots and kittiwakes. Whales are not normally seen on trips departing from New Quay
  • Throughout the trip a strict Code of Conduct is followed designed to minimise the disturbance of the wildlife that you encounter.
  • Species sighted depend on the weather and time of year and sightings cannot be guaranteed.

Scotland:

Your experience starts near Cromarty, approx one hour's drive from Inverness. Once out on the boat, you will see the Bottlenose dolphins and Harbour porpoises who are frequent visitors throughout the year. Grey & Common seals can also be sighted, basking on the rocks. There are also excellent sea bird watching opportunities all along the coast, namely Razorbills, Gannets, Common & Black Guillemots, Fulmers and Kittiwakes.
