So why not make the most of the waves and enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Scottish coast line with an exhilarating power boat adventure?
There are 3 stages and you will have an opportunity to drive the boat at every stage
‘RAPID RIDE’ The first leg of the event will begin with the skipper taking out the boat, from the “restricted speed" area in the marina, to open water where they will open up the throttle and show you what this craft can do. The skipper will take this moment to point out some local features. Each participant will then be given the opportunity, under supervision, to drive this powerful craft at speed.
‘SLOWBOATING’ The trickiest part of powerboat piloting is doing it slowly! This next part of the event will concentrate on controlled throttle, boat handling technique. The skipper will demonstrate manoeuvres around obstacles, then, invite you to copy them. Let the fun begin!
‘MAN OVERBOARD’ This last event will be based on an emergency scenario of a ‘man overboard’ situation. After some recovery training, we throw a fully dressed mannequin (in the event of volunteer shortages!) overboard. It is now your turn to recover him using the techniques learnt. This part of the activity will be against the clock and a prize will be awarded for the best time.
Our powerboat is based at Rhu Marina. West Coast of Scotland. Firth of Clyde basin, near Helensburgh and Loch Long where we can really put you to the test!
